Moti Ankari Born and raised in New York, Moti Ankari, graduated the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree, after leaving business school to pursue a career in fashion. As a freshman in college Moti launched his blog and instagram, The Metro Man, to document his everyday style, highlighting his favorite fashion labels, and sharing everything New York City has to ofer— from the best places to eat and drink, shop and the trendiest spots to hang out.
Today, Ankari, is among the original influencers who have paved the road for many others, and is one of the most sought out luxury male bloggers in the U.S . Moti has garnered over 300K fashion-advice-seeking followers across his platforms— Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
To date Ankari has worked with brands such as American Express, Ermenegildo Zegna, H&M, Ferrari, Range Rover, Tom Ford, Dior, Louis Vuitton and much more. Ankari has been covered Globally in Vogue, The New York Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, GQ, Esquire, V Magazine, Buzzfeed and Business Insider, and was given the title as one of the most fashionable guys on Instagram by The Huffington Post early in his career.
Professionally, while working on his personal brand, Ankari started his career working at the style bible of menswear, GQ, under the reigns of Jim Moore for 3 years. Post GQ, Moti Ankari became the fashion editor at Bloomberg Pursuits where he styled Rami Malek, Julian Edelman, Sophia Bush and more. Ankari is one of the few menswear influencers that has both industry and street credit to his name.
In 2016 Ankari partnered with fellow blogger, Marcel Floruss to design and launch a DTC shoe brand, Ankari Floruss. Most recently the brand launched at Nordstrom in seven key markets and online in September 2019.
